Ed McMahon has Died
Television host Ed McMahon, best known as Johnny Carson’s sidekick on the ‘Tonight Show’ from 1962-1992, has died at age 86, early this morning at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
Bragman, his publicist, didn’t give a cause of death, saying only that McMahon had a “multitude of health problems the last few months.” Some are saying his battle with bone cancer finally beat him and others state it was pneumonia that did him in. Either way this was a man that lived his life to the fullest, he was a Game Show host, Host to Star Search from 1983-1995. Or for those of you that get a ton of these flyers, he was the spokesperson for Publisher’s Clearinghouse. However his life wasn’t all about entertaining, he was also a Marine in the USMC and served as a pilot in WWII. Hopefully you will all have some funny memories of Ed and his family will be comforted in knowing he is no longer suffering and will be remembered as an entertainer.
