This is just for the week of January 23-25 and it seems to be really close between the top two but of course it all adds up right. Currently here is the list for just the placing for the weekend round up:

Mall Cop ($21,500,000)
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans ($20,700,00)
Gran Torino ($16,000,000)
Hotel For Dogs ($12,360,000)
Slumdog Millionaire ($10,550,000)
My Bloody Valentine 3D ($10,050,000)
Inkheart ($7,725,000)
Bride Wars ($7,000,000)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button ($6,000,000)
Notorious ($5,700,000)

Surprised that Gran didn’t get more than that, but of course it is one of the top, in the top 10 total with $97,576,000. Course it hasn’t even reached the full time in theaters yet. My guess is it reaches at least $1,321,5000 by the time it leaves the theater.   Were you able to view any of the movies from above? What’s your take on them?

I did go with the family to see Hotel for Dogs and I must say it is a very cute movie for the family to see. We will eventually be buying it when it comes out on disc. This is also a great “innocent first date movie” for your kids to go to. hehe.

Normally I would be watching one of the family movies with the kiddo at the movies, but we checked out “My Bloody Valentine”. I’m not into cheesy horror flicks, but this one wasn’t that bad. I don’t think I’ll be rushing out again to see it but it was entertaining enough.
