Published by homemom3 at 12:39 pm under celebrities Edit This

Oprah Winfrey is known for her giving heart as well as her Talk show, but many people follow her love of books too and those that do will have an extra treat now.

The move to HBO ends a long relationship with ABC for Winfrey’s production company output of uplifting movies including Emmy-award winning “Tuesdays with Morrie” and “Their Eyes Were Watching God,” starring Halle Berry.

Kate Forte, president of Harpo Films, said HBO offered a unique blend of format and creativity on television, “and the quality and range of their subjects are extraordinary.”

No details of projects in the multiyear exclusive deal were released but the two sides said they could include mini-series, movies, documentaries and series.

HBO has agreed to produce some uplifting movies with Oprah. Movies like (but not) Tuesdays with Morrie, Their Eyes were Watching God, etc. Currently they aren’t saying what movies are in th works, just that they’ve agreed to do some documentaries, mini series and movies.  This just means there’ll be even more teary-eyed movies for us to watch.
