Forbes Top 10 Most Powerful Celebrities
Forbes Magazine has come up with their yearly Top 100 list and here is the top 10 Most Powerful Celebrities. What makes them powerful? I’m guessing how much money they earn a year. But I’d also like to believe it is those that have money and contribute to society. (hey a girl can wish right?)
1 Oprah Winfrey makes a whopping $275M
2 Tiger Woods $115M
3 Angelina Jolie $14M
4 Beyonce Knowles $80M
5 David Beckham $50M
6 Johnny Depp $72M
7 Jay-Z $82M
8 The Police $115M
9 J.K.Rowling $300M
10 Brad Pitt $20M
As you can see these are some very well-known names and one hot celebrity couple. What are your predictions for next year’s list? I think Miley Cyrus will be bumping Oprah.
Just saw a news spot on “Entertainment Tonight”, how Michael Jordon is still raking in the dough. It was said, that Mr. Jordon is still making more money than Tiger Woods. But, then maybe he loses a lot of it in alimony payments.

Interesting that Beyonce is on the list, but J-Lo isn’t.
I’m really surprised to see The Police on the list. I didn’t think that they had any influence anymore - if ever. Sting in his own right perhaps, but not collectively. I also wonder what criteria Forbes had for what makes them powerful. I see it with Oprah because she crosses a lot of different areas, but the rest are mainly involved with one or two areas of self-promotion.
