Madonna’s Adoption is Final!
Woo hoo, after such a long ordeal it is finally done with. Madonna is David Banda’s official new mommy. The courts decided today she could finally adopt the little boy that’s been under her care for more than a year. I’m sure this is one headache they’ll be happy to have behind them and now he can really feel like part of the family.
Madonna’s lawyer was quoted as to saying:
“We are very happy with what the judge has ruled. Finally the court has granted Madonna full adoption rights of the boy…It’s all over, thank God. It is a positive and beautiful judgment that will have an impact on Malawi’s adoption laws.”
I’m not sure why the media went after Madonna on this issue. I don’t think she deserved the stress that she must have endured fielding questions, having her motives questioned, etc. So I’m pleased to see a happy ending on this one. Congratulations to Madonna and her family on the official adoption of little David.
